AeroBand PocketDrum quick start guide
Welcome to the AeroBand PocketDrum family!
The AeroBand PocketDrum is an innovative, portable drumming system that allows you to drum anytime, anywhere. This guide will help you get started with this plug-and-play musical instrument.
For a quick start, we recommend our instructional video. This is important for learning the correct techniques and mastering the PocketDrum.

Click here - Here is also a step-by-step overview to help you get started:
- Power on and connect: Turn on your drumsticks, foot pedals, and adapter. The drumsticks and foot pedals will automatically connect to the adapter.
- Use the Drum Map: Hang the included printed Drum Map on the wall directly in front of you. This map shows the exact position of each virtual drum and cymbal.
- Correct posture and grip: Sit comfortably facing the Drum Map. Hold the drumsticks loosely but firmly, keeping your wrists relaxed.
- Practice hitting the correct zones: Use the Drum Map as a guide to hit each drum area with the correct stick angle and controlled motion (approximately 30°–45°).
- Learn drumming techniques: Follow the instructional videos to master wrist movement, stick control, and timing for more accurate and expressive playing.
- Calibrate regularly: Recalibrate your PocketDrum to maintain accurate position recognition, especially after extended play or switching modes.
- Build muscle memory: Practice regularly with the Drum Map and tutorials to build muscle memory and confidence, allowing you to eventually play accurately without the map.
By following these steps and the video tutorial, you will quickly become familiar with the PocketDrum and enjoy its versatile drumming experience.
Note: the drumsticks measure motion and angle, not position in space.
Are the indicator lights not lit? First, make sure both drumsticks are connected to the adapter. Then, press and hold the "Voice" button to turn the drum position lights on or off.
